Senior Java Developer

About the role

Our client, a fast-growing IT services company with a strong BFSI practice, is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a product-engineering pod. You will design, build and ship services that process millions of transactions a day and mentor a team of mid-level engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable microservices using Java 17 and Spring Boot
• Collaborate with architects and product owners to translate requirements into technical designs
• Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
• Optimise application performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Mentor junior developers and drive engineering best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA and RESTful services
• Experience with AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS) and containerisation
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
